Interestingly, despite its popularity, The Huffington Post is not the most visited blog on the web. That distinction goes to Google’s Blogger platform, which hosts over 2 million blogs (as of May 2014).
Interestingly, many of Google’s more popular blogs (including The Huffington Post) are not hosted on Blogger, but on Google’s own Blogspot platform.
Overall, it appears that there is a growing trend of bloggers moving away from using Blogger and towards using Google’s own Blogspot platform. This may be due to Google’s increasing monetization efforts (through ads) and its expanding suite of tools and services for bloggers.
