The popularity of blogs has led many dictionary publishers to consider adding the term to their dictionaries. In 2011, Merriam-Webster added the term “blog” to its Collegiate Dictionary, which means that it will be included in future editions of the dictionary.
It is also included in the Oxford English Dictionary and the American Heritage Dictionary. It is likely that blog will soon be added to other dictionaries as well.
