Making a free blog on WordPress is not difficult, but it does require some technical know-how. Before you begin, make sure you have the following: an active WordPress account; a domain name and hosting account; and access to a web server.
You can find all of these resources on WordPress.com.
To create a blog on WordPress, first login to your account and navigate to the “Blogs” section of your dashboard. Click “New blog” in the top left corner of the screen and enter a title for your blog (e.g.
“My Awesome Blog”).
Next, choose a theme from the available options. Themes are available for both free and premium accounts, but you can create a free blog without one by using the “WordPress Default Theme”.
Click “Create site” to finish setting up your blog.
Now you need to set up your web server in order to host your blog. If you don’t have access to a web server, you can purchase one through a host such as Bluehost or WP Engine. Once your web server is set up, visit it in your browser and enter the IP address or hostname of your WordPress blog into the address bar (e.g. http://192.168.1.101).
You will now be prompted to login to your blog with the username “admin” and password “password”. Once logged in, you will see the main dashboard of your WordPress blog displayed in front of you (Figure 1).
