There can be no doubt that self-expression is a fundamental human need. Whether we want to share our thoughts and feelings with the world or simply introspect and reflect on our own life, writing is an excellent way to do so.
And, of course, self-publishing a blog allows us to share our work with a much wider audience than we could ever hope to reach through traditional publishing channels.
But is it really safe for us to write about ourselves? After all, who knows what might happen if our personal stories and opinions were made public?
There are, of course, a few things to consider when writing about ourselves online. Firstly, it’s important to be honest and open about who we are – no one deserves to be mislead or exploited.
Secondly, we need to make sure that our blog content is relevant and engaging for our readers. And finally, we need to be aware of the potential risks involved in sharing personal information online – whether it’s our full name or just a snippet from our biography.
All in all, though, there’s no reason why self-expression couldn’t be achieved through blogging – as long as we’re prepared for the risks involved.
