Can You Password Protect a Tumblr Blog?

A blog can be password protected with a strong password. Tumblr provides a built-in password protection feature, which can be accessed by clicking on the “security” link in the top right corner of a blog’s homepage. When logged in, users can click on the “password protect this blog” link to create a new password. The new password must be at least eight characters long, contain at least one number and one letter, and not include any personal information.

Users can also choose to have Tumblr email them a random code each time they make changes to their blog’s password. Once a blog has been password protected, users will need to enter the new password before they can access it.
