Choose a platform
Blogs are most easily created and managed online, so it makes sense to choose a platform that offers these features. WordPress is probably the most popular platform for free blogs, but there are others, such as Tumblr and Blogger.
Choose a domain name and host
Once you’ve chosen your platform, it’s time to find a domain name and host for your blog. A domain name refers to the website address (e.g., blog.
com), while a host refers to the server where your blog resides. You can find great deals on both of these items through providers like GoDaddy and Yahoo! Hosting.
Set up your blog
Once you have your domain name and host set up, you’ll need to install the necessary software. This includes WordPress, which is available as a free download from WordPress.
