Do You Sign Off a Blog Post?

When you write a blog post, do you “sign off” it?

Typically, when you write a blog post, you’ll want to include your name, website address, and a copyright notice at the bottom. (You can find all of these things at the top of most blogs.

) After that, you might include a “sign off” statement. This statement lets your readers know that you’re done writing for the day, and that they can assume you won’t be updating or adding to the post anymore.

Some bloggers add a “see you soon” or “thank-you” at the end of their sign offs. Others simply say something like “peace,” “love,” or “good night.

” It’s up to each individual blogger to decide what to include in his or her sign off.

Generally speaking, it’s polite to include a sign off when you’re writing a blog post. Doing so allows your readers to know that you’re finished with the post, and that they shouldn’t expect any further updates from you.
