Does a Blog Need a Domain Name?

com. If the blog is being hosted on Blogger, then the blog’s domain name should be blogger.com.

A final caveat to consider is that some bloggers choose not to have a domain name because it can be expensive or time-consuming to get one set up correctly. So if you’re thinking of starting a blog and don’t yet have a domain name in mind, it’s not impossible to go without one – just be aware of potential drawbacks before making your decision.
