Does Tumblr Count as a Blog?

Tumblr has become one of the most popular social networking platforms on the internet. With over 100 million users, it is no wonder that Tumblr is often used as a platform for bloggers and journalists to share their work.

However, because Tumblr is not a traditional blog platform, some people have questioned whether or not Tumblr counts as a blog.

In general, Tumblr is similar to blogs in that it allows users to post content and interact with other users. However, there are some key differences. For example, Tumblr does not allow users to create separate pages for their blog posts like blogs do.

Additionally, Tumblr does not have a traditional blogroll where bloggers can add links to other blogs they have read. Therefore, it is difficult to measure the popularity of a Tumblr blog in comparison to a traditional blog.

Despite these limitations, many people argue that Tumblr still counts as a blog because it provides the same basic blogging features and allows users to interact with each other in the same way as traditional blogs do. Therefore, if all you need from a blogging platform is the ability to post content and allow users to interact with you, then Tumblr should be considered a viable option.
