Does Tumblr Pay You to Blog?

If you’re a blogger, chances are you’ve heard of Tumblr. The blogging platform is known for its quirky user interface and its popularity with millennials. But is Tumblr really paying bloggers to blog?

The short answer is no, but there are some ways in whichTumblr does indirectly support bloggers. For example, Tumblr pays its users in “Tumblr points” for using the platform and participating in its community.

These points can be used to buy products and services from within the Tumblr ecosystem, including subscriptions to premium content platforms like The Huffington Post and Vox.

However, because these points are not directly convertible into cash, many bloggers feel that they don’t receive a significant financial incentive to blog on the platform. This lack of compensation could be one of the reasons why Tumblr has seen a decrease in active blogs over the past few years.

Nonetheless, Tumblr still offers a platform for aspiring bloggers to build an audience and share their ideas. Whether or not Tumblr pays you to blog is up to you – as long as you’re getting value back in return.
