How Do I Change the Author on a Shopify Blog?

If you want to change the author on a blog on Shopify, there are a few things you can do. The first step is to go to the blog’s settings page and under “General Settings” click on “Author.” You’ll see a list of all the authors on the blog with their user IDs.

To change the author, just click on the user ID you want to change and enter your new author name in the “Author” field. Click “Save Changes” to finalize your changes.

If you’d like to keep the original author’s name but change their role on the blog, you can do that by going to the same General Settings page and under “Editorial Board Members” click on the author’s name. Under “Role,” you’ll see a list of all the different roles that author can have on the blog, such as ‘Contributor,’ ‘Administrator,’ or ‘Editor.

‘ From here, click on the role you want to assign the author and enter your new author name in the “Author” field.

Finally, if you’d like to disable an author completely from posting on your blog, you can do that by going to the Blog Posts page and clicking on their user ID. In the “Blog Posting Options” section, you’ll see a button called “Disable Author.

” Clicking this button will disable that author from posting any new content on your blog.
