If you’re like most Shopify merchants, you likely send out newsletters to your customers on a regular basis. And, like most things in life, a good newsletter footer can make your life a lot easier.
Here’s what you need to do to create a functional newsletter footer in Shopify:
1. Add a Newsletter Footer Template to Your Shopify Store
There are plenty of newsletter footer templates available online, and it’s easy to find one that fits your needs. Simply search for “Newsletter Footer Template” in the Shopify App Store and download the template that best suits your needs.
Once you’ve downloaded the template, open it up in your store’s admin area. You’ll see that the template includes a number of sections, including:
Title: This is where you’ll add the title of your newsletter. This title will also be used as the heading for your newsletters in your Shopify store’s navigation menu.

Date: This section shows the date of the most recent issue of your newsletter. You can use this section to remind customers when they should expect new content from you.

Subscribers: This section lists all of the subscribers to your newsletter (if any). You can add additional subscribers here if you have them, or you can use this section as a way to contact all of your current subscribers at once (if you want to do that).

Contact Info: If you have any contact information for your readers (like an email address or phone number), you can add it here. This information will show up in both email notifications sent out by MailChimp and in subscriber profiles on Shopify’s built-in customer management system (Shopify Plus).
2. Add MailChimp Signup Forms to Your Newsletter Footer
If you’re using MailChimp as your email service provider, then adding signup forms to your newsletter footer is a breeze. Just find the form(s) that fit best with what you’re doing and add them to your template.
When someone signs up for your newsletter through MailChimp, they’ll be added automatically to your list of subscribers on Shopify Plus (if you’re using that feature).
