How Do I Exclude Categories From a WordPress Blog?

When creating a WordPress blog, it is important to keep the layout organized and tidy. However, sometimes you may want to exclude certain categories from appearing on the front page.

This can be done by creating a custom taxonomy and setting the category visibility to “hidden”.

To create a custom taxonomy, open the WordPress admin area and go to the “Posts” menu item. Click on the “New” button in the top-right corner of the Posts screen and enter a name for your taxonomy in the text field provided.

Click on the “Create” button to create your new taxonomy.

Next, you will need to set the category visibility for your new taxonomy. To do this, go to the “Posts” menu item again and click on the “Categories” link in the left-hand column.

Locate your newly created taxonomy and click on its name in the list of categories. In the “Visibility” column, set its visibility to “hidden”.

Finally, it is important to add content to your new taxonomy. To do this, start writing a post and enter the title of your new post in the text field provided at the top of the Posts screen.

Once you have finished writing your post, click on the “Publish” button at the bottom of the Posts screen. Your new post will now appear under your newly created taxonomy title on the front page of your WordPress blog.
