How Do I Transfer My Wix Blog to WordPress?

If you’re looking to move your Wix blog over to WordPress, there are a few things you’ll need to do first. First, make sure you have a copy of the WordPress installation files – you can download them from WordPress.org. Once you have the files, you’ll need to upload them to your server – usually this is done by simply uploading them to a folder on your web server. You’ll also need to create a new WordPress blog account, and then transfer your Wix blog content over to it. To do this, first log in to your Wix blog account, and then go to the “Posts” page. Here, you’ll see all of the posts that are currently on your Wix site. Click on any of these posts, and then click on the “Upload a copy” button next to it. This will open up a new window, where you can select which posts you want to upload (you can also select all of these posts at once by clicking on the “Select All” button). Once you’ve selected the posts, click on the “Upload” button at the bottom of the window.

Now, go ahead and log in to your WordPress blog account, and then click on the “Posts” page. Here, you’ll see all of the posts that are currently on your WordPress site. Click on any of these posts, and then click on the “Import” button next to it. This will open up a new window, where you can select which posts from your Wix site you want to import (you can also select all of these posts at once by clicking on the “Select All” button). Once you’ve selected the posts, click on the “Import” button at the bottom of the window. Now that all of your content has been imported into WordPress, go ahead and delete all of the old posts from your Wix blog account (this will delete all of those posts from WordPress as well). Finally, go ahead and rename all of the old post titles in WordPress to match their Wix titles (this will change their slug attribute in WordPress). Finally, go ahead and publish your new WordPress post(s). Congratulations – your Wix blog is now live on WordPress!.
