As a blogger, you know that a well-organized blog can be a major asset to your online presence. To help you get started, we’ve put together a blog template that you can use as a starting point.
To start, create a new document in your favorite word processor and save it as blog-template.docx. In this document, you’ll want to include the following information:
Title: Your Blog Title
Description: A short description of your blog
URL: Your blog’s URL
Blog Category: Choose one of the following categories: Arts & Entertainment, Business & Finance, Community & Society, Education & Learning, Health & Fitness, Home & Garden, Life & Style, Nature & Environment. If you’d like to add a new category, be sure to include the title in parentheses after the category name.
Blog Theme: Choose one of the following themes (or create your own): Blogger Blue (default), Customizable, or Newspaper. If you’d like to add your own theme, be sure to include the title in parentheses after the theme name.
Now it’s time to start filling in the content! In each section below, we’ve included general information about that particular section as well as specific instructions on how to write it. We hope this template will help make your blogging experience easier and more productive!
Title: Your Blog Title
Your blog title should be catchy and descriptive so that readers will know what they’re getting into when they click on your link. It should also reflect the content of your blog in some way. For example, if you write about health and fitness topics, your blog title might be “Healthy Living Tips.”
You can also use keywords throughout your blog title in order to improve traffic and search engine visibility. Be sure to include at least 2-3 keywords in each title tag and throughout your content so that readers can find what they’re looking for quickly.
Description: A short description of your blog This is where you’ll provide a little bit of background information about yourself and why you started blogging. This section should not be more than 150 words long.
You can also include images or video if you’d like. Make sure to list all of the categories that apply to your blog (listed above) so readers know what type of content they’re getting into! URL: Your blog’s URL This is where people can go to read all of the posts on your site. Make sure to include both the domain name (e.g., myblogsite.com) and the full URL (http://www.myblogsite.com/post/123). As mentioned earlier, including keywords throughout this URL will help improve traffic and search engine visibility! Blog Category: Choose one of the following categories: Arts & Entertainment, Business & Finance, Community & Society, Education & Learning, Health & Fitness, Home & Garden, Life & Style, Nature & Environment Be sure to choose one of these five categories! Once you’ve chosen a category, be sure to list all of the posts within that category that fit within your topic area (listed above). Please note that posts in subcategories are not counted towards this total; only posts within main categories are counted!
