How Do You Cite a Blog in MLA?

An article in a scholarly journal that is based, in part, on a blog post

Blog posts can be an excellent source of information for scholarly research. However, it can be difficult to cite a blog post in MLA. Here are some tips for citing a blog post:

1. Use the author’s name and the date of the post as the only sources of information when citing a blog post.

Do not include any other information, such as the URL of the blog post.

2. Indicate that the post is based on research found on the author’s website or elsewhere.

3. Include a brief paragraph that explains how you used the blog post in your research.

4. Citations should be in end-notes or in a separate section at the end of your article.

Note: Blog posts cannot be used as sources for book reviews or dissertations.
