How Do You Cite a Blog Post in Text MLA?

Citing a blog post in MLA style is fairly easy. You simply include the author’s name, the title of the post, and the date of the post in parentheses. For example:

(Smith, Caitlin. “5 Tips for Writing Effective Blog Posts.”) (3/1/2015)

If you want to provide additional information about the article, such as a summary or commentary, you can also include those details in parentheses after the title.”) (3/1/2015) (Summary)

After including all of this information, you simply list each paragraph of the article in numerical order. You don’t need to include any additional punctuation or capitalization. For example:

1. Introduction 2. Tips for Beginning a Post 3.

Ideas for Enhancing Your Posts 4. How to Write a Hook 5. Conclusion.
