How Do You Number Newsletter Editions?

An email newsletter is a great way to communicate with your customers, but how do you keep track of which edition is sent out to which customer? There are a few methods you can use to number your editions, and the one you choose depends on the frequency and length of your newsletter.

1. Use unique subscriber IDs

If you send out your newsletter once a month, create a unique subscriber ID for each edition and use that ID in all of your marketing materials. This way, you can track which edition was sent to which customer without having to rely on email addresses.

2. Use calendar dates

If you send out your newsletter more frequently, such as every week or day, use calendar dates as the basis for numbering your editions. This way, you can easily see which edition was sent to which customer on which day.

3. Use a custom numbering system

If you want to create a more customised experience for your customers, you can create a custom numbering system that reflects the content of your newsletter. For example, you could number each edition with the topic of the article or video inside it.

This way, subscribers will know exactly what they are receiving and they will have more control over how they receive information (by unsubscribing from editions they don’t want).
