How Does the Blogging Work?

How does blogging work?

When someone creates a blog, they are essentially publishing a series of comments on their Internet site. Anyone with Internet access can view the blog, and if they have an account on the site where the blog is hosted, they can also leave comments.

When someone leaves a comment, the commenting software posts a hyperlink to that comment on the blog entry. The commenting software also records the time of the comment, the IP address of the commenter, and whether or not the commenter is registered with Blogger.

Bloggers use this information to compile a “blogroll” of their favorite commenters. They can then use this information to follow their commenters and see what they have to say about future blog entries.

When bloggers post new entries, they typically include a link to one or more comments from their blogroll. This way, readers who are interested in reading what other people have to say about this particular entry can click on the link and read the comment(s).

Bloggers also use comments to get feedback about their entries. If readers think an entry is poorly written, or if they have a suggestion for how an entry could be improved, they are likely to leave a comment.

By reading these comments and taking into account what readers have said about their posts, bloggers can eventually improve their writing skills and become even better bloggers.
