How Long Is the Average Blog?

An article on how long a blog typically lasts has been requested by many of our readers. According to a study done by the Pew Research Center, the average lifespan of a blog is 3.5 years. This means that, on average, a blog will be around for about three and a half years.

This statistic varies greatly, however, depending on the type of blog and the content it contains. Some blogs will last much longer than three and a half years while others will only last for a few weeks or months.

There are many reasons why a blog might be discontinued. A blog might be discontinued if its creator no longer has time to maintain it or if it is no longer relevant.

It is also possible for a blog to be discontinued if its content is removed from the internet or if it is shut down by its hosting company. Overall, however, the average lifespan of a blog is about three and a half years.
