There is no doubt that blogging is on the decline. A study by the Pew Research Center in 2014 found that only 16% of adults in the United States blog.
This number has likely decreased since then, as Pew did not release updated numbers in 2018. In fact, there appears to be a general decline in the popularity of blogging, with other forms of online expression (like social media) taking over as the primary source of information for many people.
Despite this trend, there are still many bloggers out there and their work is still very valuable. Their insights and perspectives can be found by anyone who is willing to look for them.
Furthermore, if you are a blogger and your blog is doing well, there is no need to worry about it dying – it just might be evolving into something new.
