Is Blogging Passive Income?

If you’re considering starting a blog, or even if you’re already blogging, there’s a good chance you’re wondering whether or not blogging is actually passive income. After all, if you’re spending time writing and publishing content on your blog, isn’t that time spent working?

The answer to this question largely depends on the type of blogging you do and the specific goals you have for your blog. If you’re primarily blogging for personal amusement or as a way to share your thoughts and ideas with the world, then blogging may not be considered work.

In this case, your blog may indeed be considered passive income.

However, if you hope to make money from your blog through advertising revenue or by selling products and services through links from your posts, then blogging may not be considered passive income. In fact, depending on the level of effort and time you put into your blog, it may actually be more active than passive income in many cases.
