In a previous article, we discussed the pros and cons of blogging. After reading that, you may have decided that blogging is still a thing and is not going away anytime soon.
There are many reasons why people continue to blog. Some bloggers do it for the pleasure of writing, while others do it to share their knowledge and experiences with others.
Despite the disadvantages of blogging (low traffic, lack of monetization potential, etc.), many people still blog because they find it enjoyable and helpful. In fact, according to a study by Harris Interactive, 85% of bloggers believe that their blog has helped them connect with new people and expand their networking skills.
Additionally, 66% of bloggers report that their blog has led to new job opportunities or contacts with people in positions of authority. Clearly, there are plenty of reasons why people continue to blog despite the challenges associated with it.
So is blogging still a thing? Yes, it is definitely still a thing! And as long as there are people out there who enjoy writing and sharing their knowledge and experiences with others, blogging will continue to be a popular form of online content sharing.
