Is Intranet a Blog?

Intranets have been around since the early days of the internet, but they didn’t really take off until the late 1990s and early 2000s. At their core, intranets are simply websites that are tightly integrated with company networks.

This means that employees can access the same content and tools from their work computers, and that managers can see all the activity going on in the network with just a few clicks.

Because intranets are so closely tied to company networks, many people consider them to be blogs. In fact, many intranet editors and managers use blogging tools to keep track of what’s happening on their networks and to share information and ideas with their team.

While intranets are similar to blogs in many ways, there are some key differences. For example, blogs are typically published on the web and can be read by anyone in the world.

Intranet content, on the other hand, is typically only viewable by employees who have access to it through their work computers. And finally, blogs are typically focused on sharing personal thoughts and experiences; intranet content is generally more business-oriented.

All in all, while intranets may share some similarities with blogs, they’re definitely unique entities that should be evaluated carefully before being labeled as such.
