Should I Resend My Newsletter?

If you’ve ever sent a newsletter and had a low response rate, you’re not alone. According to a study by The Content Marketing Institute, the average response rate for newsletters is just over 1%.

And while that may not seem too bad, keep in mind that if your response rate is below 1%, you’re likely not reaching your Target audience.

So, should you resend your newsletter? In short, it depends. If your response rate is high (above 2%), you may not need to resend.

However, if your response rate is low, it’s worth considering a resend campaign. Here are some things to consider:.

1. Are you sending the same newsletter to everyone? If so, your email may be getting lost in the spam folder.

Try sending the newsletter to a smaller subset of your list first to see if anyone responds.

2. Are you offering a freebie with the newsletter subscription? If so, be sure to include a link in the email or on your website so people can get the freebie.

3. Are you using automated content marketing tools like email marketing software or automation platforms? If so, make sure to set up opt-in forms for your subscribers so they can be sure they’re getting your newsletters and don’t end up in spam folders.

4. Are you following up with subscribers who haven’t responded? Make sure to send them another email just to make sure they got the first one and that they’re interested in what you have to say.

And if they still haven’t responded after following up three times, consider cancelling their subscription and starting over with a new list.
