What Are Tags on WordPress Blog?

Tags are a powerful way to organize your blog posts and help readers find content more easily. When you create a tag, WordPress automatically creates a category for your post and adds the tag to the post’s title.

To add a tag to a post, just type the tag name followed by a colon (:). For example, if you wanted to add the “travel” tag to a post about traveling in Thailand, you would type “travel:thailand”.

When you save a post with a tag, WordPress also saves the category for that tag. So, if you want to see all the posts tagged with “travel”, just search for “travel” in the WordPress Posts section of your blog dashboard.

Finally, when somebody views or clicks on a post with a specific tag, WordPress will automatically show them all the posts in that category. This is great for helping your readers find related content quickly.
