What Are WordPress Blog Categories?

When creating a WordPress blog, one of the first things you’ll want to do is decide on a category structure. There are a lot of different ways to structure your blog’s categories, but in this article, we’re going to explain how to create WordPress blog categories using the popular Yoast SEO plugin.

To get started, open Yoast SEO and click on the “Tools” tab. In the “Blog Categories” section, you’ll see a list of all the posts you’ve published on your blog.

Click on the “Add New Category” button and give your new category a name. In the “Description” field, you can provide a little bit of information about your category (for example, “Tech Articles”).

Now that you’ve created your new category, it’s time to add posts to it. To do this, click on the “Add New Post” button and fill out the fields as follows:

Title: This is where you’ll enter the title of your post.

Click on the “Publish Post” button and Yoast SEO will generate a title and description for your new post based on the fields you entered. Now it’s time to add your new post to its corresponding category in Yoast SEO.

To do this, click on the “General” tab in Yoast SEO and under “Categories,” select the category name that corresponds to your newly created WordPress blog category. Yoast SEO will then display all the posts in that category with th title and body fields filled out correctly. Simply copy and paste each post’s link into the respective field in Yoast SEO and you’re done!.
