The plot of Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is a series of short, absurdist vignettes about the titular anti-hero, Dr. Horrible. The show centers around Dr.
Horrible, a nerdy science genius who discovers his true calling as a supervillain after breaking out of an institution for super-villains. In each episode, Dr. Horrible performs a song and dance number to accompany his diatribes against humanity, often involving catastrophes caused by his evil schemes. .
The show has been lauded for its humor, creativity, and innovation in web series storytelling, and it has been credited with helping to revive the flagging genre in 2009. The show has been released on DVD and Blu-ray (with an extended cut) and has spawned two successful comic book adaptations.
