Who Started MTL Blog?

Montreal has a rich literary history, and there are plenty of writers who have contributed to the city’s literary landscape. But it’s not until recently that a blog focusing on Montreal literature has emerged.

The Montreal Literary Review was founded in 2011 by three friends: writer and editor Sylvain Charlebois, publishing consultant Valérie Dupuis, and writer and translator Éric Beaulieu. The blog is dedicated to reviewing books, interviewing authors, and exploring the city’s literary scene.

The blog has made a name for itself as a go-to resource for Montrealers interested in reading and writing about literature. It has also drawn attention from across Canada and internationally, with guest posts appearing on sites like The Millions and The Paris Review.

Overall, the Montreal Literary Review is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning more about the city’s literary scene. It’s especially helpful for newcomers who want to explore the many talented authors living in Montreal.
