Why Did Martha First Start Writing a Blog?

In 2007, Martha Stewart was indicted on federal charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and obstruction of justice. She spent five months in prison before being released on bail.

In the aftermath of her conviction and imprisonment, Stewart decided to start a blog to share her thoughts and opinions with the public.

Stewart’s blog, “The Martha Stewart Show,” provided a forum for her to share her thoughts on various topics, ranging from cooking to home decorating. The blog also served as a way for Stewart to communicate with her fans and provide updates about her legal case.

Although “The Martha Stewart Show” ended in May 2008, the blog continued until late 2010. In November 2010, Stewart was released from prison after serving three months of a six-month sentence for lying to the FBI about her friendship with an alleged stockbroker.

After her release, Stewart began working on a new project: a book about her time in prison entitled “My Life in Prison: One Woman’s Fight for Justice.” The book is scheduled to be published in December 2012.

Although Stewart’s blogging career came to an end after she was arrested and imprisoned, the blog served as an important platform for her to share her thoughts and opinions with the public. In addition, the blog provided updates about Stewart’s legal case and helped to boost her reputation among fans following her incarceration.
