Can I Move a Blog Post to Another Page in Squarespace?

If you want to move a blog post to another page in Squarespace, you’ll first need to find the post’s “Page ID.” To find the Page ID for a blog post, go to the Posts page in your account, and then click on the post you want to move. In the top left corner of the post’s page, you’ll see a blue bar that says “Page ID:.” The Page ID is a long number that starts with “5” and ends with “9.” To move a blog post to another page in Squarespace, you’ll need to copy the Page ID and paste it into the “Move Post” field on the Pages page of your account. If you’re moving a blog post from one page to another within the same blog, you don’t need to copy the Page ID – just enter the URL of the post’s new page in the “Move Post” field.

Once you’ve copied and pasted the Page ID into the “Move Post” field, click on “Move Post.” If everything goes according to plan, your blog post will be moved to its new page and all of its metadata (title, author, etc.) will be updated along with it. If something goes wrong during the migration process, please contact Squarespace support for help.

When moving a blog post from one page to another within the same blog, it’s usually easiest just to copy and paste the URL of the post’s new page into the Move Post field. However, if you’re moving a blog post from one page to another on your website (say, from your homepage to your about us page), you’ll need to enter the Page ID instead.
