Can I Transfer Blog Posts From One Wix Site to Another?

How to Transfer Blog Posts from One Wix Site to Another

If you’re looking to move your blog posts from one Wix site to another, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure you have the same blog platform and template installed on both sites. Then, follow the steps below to export your posts:

1. On the source Wix site, open your blog’s settings page.
2. Click on the “Export” button next to your blog’s name.
3. In the “Export Blog Post” window, select the “HTML” radio button, and then click on the “Save” button.
4. On the Target Wix site, open your blog’s settings page.
5. Click on the “Import” button next to your blog’s name.
6. In the “Import Blog Posts” window, select the “HTML” radio button, and then click on the “Import” button.
7. Click on the “Expand All” button in the “Blog Post Content” section, and then scroll down until you find your exported HTML file.

8. Click on it to open it in a new window.
9. The first few lines of your exported HTML file will contain information about how many posts were exported, as well as some basic information about each post (title, author, etc.). Don’t worry about this for now; you’ll need to replace these values with those of your Target blog later on.
10. Next, locate the location of your Target blog’s template files (usually located at wixsite/themes/[template name]/). Copy all of these files (including any sub-folders) over to your Target Wix site’s theme directory, replacing any existing files if necessary.
11. Finally, locate and copy over any images that were used in your exported posts (usually located at images/[post name]/). Again, make sure to replace any existing files if necessary.
12. If you want to add any additional customizations to your posts before importing them into another Wix site, now is a good time to do so! However, be sure to save any changes you make before importing so that they’re automatically applied when your posts are imported into their new host site.
