How Do You in Text Cite a Newsletter?

When citing a newsletter in text, it is important to first identify the publication’s title. Next, find the full citation for the article, including the author’s last name and date of article.

Finally, add “Newsletter” as a superscript at the end of the full citation.

For example, if you were citing an article from The New York Times entitled “The Briefcase That Could Save Your Job,” your full citation would be as follows:

The New York Times, “The Briefcase That Could Save Your Job,” by Emily Badger, January 12, 2018.

Badger, Emily. “The Briefcase That Could Save Your Job.

” The New York Times, 12 Jan. 2018, http://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/12/business/jobs/the-briefcase-that-could-save-your-job.html?mtrref=www.nytimes.com&_r=0.
