After the events of the first Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Director Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) is trying to move on with his life, but he can’t help but think about his alter-ego and the wild and wacky adventures they went on together. Meanwhile, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is dating a nerd (Garrett Hedlund) and dealing with the fallout of her break-up with Captain Hammer (John C.
Reilly). However, when Horrible learns that his old castmates are working on a new musical based on his old web series, he jumps at the chance to join in.
This time around, Horrible is not the only one with a vendetta against Captain Hammer. Dr.
Horrible has formed a partnership with The Evil Queen (Erin Richards), who is now using her powers to make everyone in town love her even more than they loved before. To make matters worse, The Evil Queen has enlisted the help of The Master Planner (Jared Harris), who has a plan to take over the world.
Will Dr. Horrible be able to save the day again? Will Penny be able to find love? And will anyone ever learn to stop calling Captain Hammer “Captain Hammer”?
