Can You Cite a Blog in APA?

It can be difficult to find information about a specific topic online and then cite it in your academic work. However, using sources from blogs is an easy way to find relevant information and then include it in your writing.

When citing a blog, you should take the following into account:

The name of the blog and the author(s) should be included in your citation.

The date of the blog post should be included.

The specific information you want to cite from the blog post should be included in parentheses after the author’s name. For example, if you are citing a blog post that discusses how to write a research paper, you would include (Smith, 2013).

If you are citing multiple blog posts from a particular author, you can list them individually or include a link to the entire blog post. For example: (Smith 2013; Smith 2014).

When citing a blog post, it is important to use APA style. To learn more about how to write citations for blogs in APA style, please see our guide on How to Cite Blogs in APA Style.
